Description

The Western rose motif was very popular in the 1920s and 1930s

紗綾形は卍を連ねた柄で、「卍崩し」とも呼ばれます。「不断長久（家の繁栄が永く続くこと）」の意味を持つ吉祥文様で、江戸時代、武将の指物（旗や飾り）の生地に施されることもありました。

横縞と縦に流れるように浮き出た絞り柄は全く同じ柄が存在しない絞り染めならではの魅力を持ちます。

またともに描かれる菊、牡丹、楓も吉祥文様とされており、それぞれ「高貴」「富貴」「物事の好転」の意味を持ちます。
