立涌（たてわく）紋様の中に四崩し、麻の葉紋様を織り込んだ銘仙の着物から。

亀甲文様は武士に好まれた文様であることから「強さ」「権威」の象徴とされています。

絣とは先染めの糸を計算して織り上げることで、完成した文様がかすれたように見える日本伝統の織物技法です。江戸時代に木綿の普及とともに発展しました。
