Huiarau Range X Native Drip - Waitī Just as no star existsWait Wait is the star connected to freshwater and all living things sustained by rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands. It reminds us of the life that flows through our wai and our responsibility as kaitiaki to protect and nurture these precious taonga for future generations. This kete reflects that connection through a ptikitiki weave pattern. Inspired by the ptiki (flounder), the pattern symbolises abundance, nourishment and the rich food sources
