Old World Map, 1596, Atlas Map by Johannes Baptista Vrients old county map Downham MarketThis is perhaps the finest example of Johannes Baptista Vrients's world map, initially published in 1596 and the second world map to include extreme detailing around the edge a style of world maps that would follow at least another 100 years. This map looks great at all sizes: 12x18 inches (31x46cm), 18x24 inches (45. 5x61cm) and 24x36 inches (61x91. 5cm), but it looks even better when printed large. I can create beautiful, large prints of this map
