ブックデザインはオランダ人グラフィックデザイナー、イルマ・ボーム（Irma Boom）が手がけており、ダンボールのフルート（波形の芯）を表紙に用い、シルバー塗装の上に印刷を施しています。凹凸によって生まれるわずかなインクのズレや滲み、肌理など、本書そのもので展覧会の試みへと挑んだ一冊です。本文では、作者が製紙会社と共同で開発した特殊紙「IBO One」が用いられ、裏抜けを構造に取り込んだ独特な設計がなされています。
