Mike Mignola Scottish Show 2022 looking back to the 1880s

looking back to the 1880s rather than the 1920s when it was probably painted

We discussed this often and from opposing views

We will never know whether this was a friend

Another painting I’ve owned for more than a decade

Mike Mignola Scottish Show 2022 looking back to the 1880s"Mike is probably the single biggest influence on my attitude to comic work. He is the creator of the sublime Hellboy series and these comics are the greatest examples of economy of line, lighting and story telling. How he can draw a little fiend in black and white and make it FEEL like it is a colossus is something I just cant fathom. A true master."
