キム・スージャの作品の中で度々登場する「縫う」という考え方は、人間の関係性や時間について考察する重要な土台となっている。1999年の北九州滞在時には、平尾台と東京・渋谷でパフォーマンスを行った。本書「お針子」では、渋谷の雑踏の中に佇むキムのもとを人々が行き交い、それぞれが「縫い合わされ」ながらも離れていく様子が、まるで一幅の映像のように紡ぎ出されていく。
