Forest Song touch gloves and the quiet drama ofForest Song is a black and white portrait of a bull elk captured mid bugle, mouth wide open as his call fills the mountain air. There are some images you can almost hear, and this is one of them. In the fall, the echoes of elk bugles carry through forests, valleys, and ridgelines as dominant bulls seek out mates and defend their place among other males. That sound is one of the defining voices of the mountain autumn, wild, haunting, and unmistakable.
