Folding Travel Chair with Carved Backrest h5 light elm or other coloursReproduction These lovely carved chairs are reproductions of the type of easily portable chairs used in China hundreds of years ago for travel or hunting trips. Wealthier members of society would take a break from hunting or fishing, with the chairs easily carried by their servants. The chairs are in beech wood and each feature a beautifully carved central backrest, depicting a mythical 'Kylin' in the centre and characters for good luck at the top.
