He was the Eranda Professor of Drawing at the Royal Academy Schools from 2016 to 2018 and is represented in public collections worldwide

This gem of a portrait was painted in 1949

As a result we’ve always described it as Scottish School but I suppose it could equally be French based on how little I know

I chose this short 1894 novel for the lovely italic capitals used on each of the 39 chapter headings
