Metamorphika Macabeu Brisat, 2022 Beaujolais Producer: Vent des JoursAn original take on Macabeu, this weighty wine is produced from some stunning high altitude vineyards. The seventy year old vines are grown on soils rich in clay, limestone and quartz with the grapes undergoing a long maceration on the skins followed by ageing in clay amphora. Full bodied and vibrant, with notes of candied citrus peel, red apples, and stony minerals.
